An investigation is ongoing after an elderly woman was found dead inside an Upstate home over the Holiday weekend. The Greenville County Coroner's Office responded to an unabandoned house on South Leach Street in Greenville on Saturday. A woman was found dead there inside the home, she was later identified as 69 year old, Susan Elaine Donald.
The Coroner's report did not list a date of death indicating she may have been dead for a period of time prior to being discovered. Both the Coroner's Office and Sheriff's Office investigators are working to uncover more information, as the incident is being treated as a suspicious death. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed Monday.
