Estherville, IA (KICD)—A garage in Estherville appears to have been destroyed by a fire that broke out over the weekend.
Firefighters were called to 708 ½ 5th Avenue South around 10:45 Saturday evening. The caller told dispatchers the garage was already fully engulfed in flames with a police officer reporting siding was also starting to melt on another nearby structure.
Once on scene fire crews were able to quickly able to knock down the flames with the City of Estherville Steet Department also responding with a loader to keep the fire from spreading.
Firefighters were on scene about an hour and half with the cause of the blaze still under investigation.
