The Grand River Dam Authority Police Department recovered the body of a drowning victim from Grand Lake on Saturday evening, July 2.

A call around 6:30 p.m. alerted the GRDA police of a male, who jumped off the Dripping Springs cliffs into the water and did not resurface.

GRDA police recovered the body around 7 p.m. in 31 feet of water.

This is an ongoing investigation.
