ATTORNEY GENERAL DANIEL CAMERON IS ASKING THE KENTUCKY SUPREME COURT TO REINSTATE THE KENTUCKY’S TRIGGER LAW THAT WENT INTO EFFECTS OVER THE OVERTURNING OF ROE V WADE, JEFFERSON CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE ISSUED A RESTRAINING ORDER LAST WEEK TEMPORARILY BLOCKING THE STATE’S ABORTION BAND AFTER THE ACLU OF KENTUCKY AND PLANNED PARENTHOOD FILED A LAWSUIT ARGUING THE LAW VIOLATED THE STATE’S CONSTITUTION THE RULING ALLOWED ABORTIONS TO RESUME IN KENTUCKY AT LEAST FROM NOW YESTERDAY THE COURT OF APPEALS DENIED CAMER. OCEAN TO REINSTATE THE LAWS IN A STATEMENT TODAY. CAMERON SAID WE ARE EXHAUSTING EVERY POSSIBLE AVENUE TO HAVE KENTUCKY’S HUMAN LIFE PROTECTION ACT AND HEARTBEAT LAW REINSTATED. Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron is not letting the case for abortion go without a fight.On Sunday, Cameron announced that he was escalating a petition to lift a temporary restraining order on the Human Life Protection Act and Heartbeat Law to the Kentucky State Supreme Court.The Jefferson County Circuit Court's restraining order against the law allowed abortions to resume in Kentucky.This allowed abortions to resume in the state's only two active abortion clinics, EMW and Planned Parenthood, both in Louisville.Abortions temporarily resume: Abortion appointments rise after judge puts a temporary halt to Kentucky abortion ban 'trigger law'The same day the court issued the order, Cameron asked the Court of Appeals to reinstate the laws but the court denied the motion, and so now he is asking the Supreme Court to take action."We are exhausting every possible avenue to have Kentucky’s Human Life Protection Act and Heartbeat Law reinstated," said Attorney General Cameron. The Jefferson County Circuit Court's restraining order against the law allowed abortions to resume in Kentucky.
