Bellefonte kicked off Fourth of July weekend on Saturday with Logan Fire Company’s Independence Day parade.
Hundreds of people lined the streets from the high school to Talleyrand Park to watch as local emergency responders, musicians, youth performing arts groups, political figures and more proceeded through the borough, tossing more than 10,000 pieces of candy along the way.
After the parade, community members gathered in the park for food vendors, an awards ceremony, and a concert by the Bellefonte High School Band and the Keystone Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps.
