The Luzerne County Coroner released the identity of the victim of a house fire in Plymouth, this morning.
According to the Coroner, a 6 year old girl named Ameliya Witten, died of smoke inhalation due to the house fire.
The child was pronounced dead at 2:30pm by the Luzerne County Coroner.
Her family has set up a GoFundMe to cover funeral expenses.

Firefighters from 10 different fire departments had their hands full Sunday morning putting out four house fires in Plymouth Borough.
What began around 9:45am on the 400 block of Palmer Street, four homes were engulfed in flames. Three of the four homes were destroyed, while one has what investigators are calling, fire damage.
“It started I believe in the 401/403 house. We did have some damage to the three side, which is the double block, that is probably going to be a total loss. Then we had damage to the upper side, 41, that was siding and basically some interior stuff, but nothing major. That house can be fixed” says Robert Palchanis, Plymouth Borough Fire Department Assistant Chief.
Many from the local community lost power in the surrounding area. But that did not stop them from coming out to help, often wheeling coolers filled with water, Gatorade, ice, and other snacks.
The Pizza Bella company also donated pizza pies to all first responders and the community members that joined together.
A local pastor was on scene, as well as a Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal, and eventually the Luzerne County Coroner.
Crews were able to battle the fires and finally put them out. Often re-wetting “hot” spots to make sure no more fires would occur.
Eyewitnesses say that this was one of the fastest spreading fires they have seen. Some even recalling a fire similar to this from back in the 80’s.
Once the fire was put out, the Luzerne County Coroner was called to the scene.
