CHP officers caught a person that was shooting fireworks from their moving car on Saturday night in Tulare County.

At around 8:10 pm Visalia CHP Officers responded to multiple calls of a fire that had started on Highway 198 close to Road 182.

Officers say witnesses saw a person that was driving and shooting fireworks out of their car, which they say started the fire on the highway.

Officers investigated and were able to find and pull over the car suspected to be involved.

While the car was pulled over, officers were able to see multiple illegal roman candle fireworks sitting on the floor of the car.

The Tulare County Fire Department issued the person a citation, as well as a reimbursement charge for the cost of the emergency services that were needed for the fire.
