Donaldsonville celebrates Independence Day with return of fireworks event

The Fireworks on the River event returned to Crescent Park in Donaldsonville over the Independence Day weekend.

The July 2 event featured the music of Austin Cedotal, DJ Up All Nite, and the Michael Foster Project.

Several booths were set up throughout the park along the Mississippi River as crowds returned following cancellations due to the pandemic.
