Marcus Stokes can’t wait to get to Penn State.

In April, the Nease (Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida) 4-star quarterback pledged to the Nittany Lions. Stokes felt a connection with the Penn State staff, he told 247Sports in a recent interview at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles.

“Penn State staff, ever since I walked in there the first time, it’s been straight love,” Stokes said. “I could tell it wasn’t fake. It’s all been real. All straight towards me and my family as well. So that’s amazing. Staff is great, atmosphere is great. I can’t wait to play under that Saturday, ready to play in front of 107,000 people.”

Stokes left the west coast wanting to get to work on improving his game before he heads north to State College to play for James Franklin.

“I felt like I did OK. Always room for improvement,” Stokes said. “I’m excited to get to Penn State, get better, work hard throughout the offseason, and We Are.

“One thing I think I need to improve on is definitely timing. My timing was a little bit off today and everybody noticed it. But it’s always next rep, next rep. I’m getting better at that. I used to get down on myself.”
