Two area men die in separate crashes Saturday evening

Two area men died in separate highway crashes Saturday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 57-year-old Wayne E. Sprenkle of Jasper died around 7:40 p.m. Saturday on I-49 about two miles south of Sheldon when he swerved his southbound motorcycle to avoid an object in the roadway.

He lost control, overturned and was ejected.

The Patrol says he was not wearing a safety device. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The Patrol says just after 9 p.m. Saturday 51-year-old Brian A. Bradley of Diamond was killed when his UTV traveled off the right side of Elder Road, about 4 and a half miles west of Diamond, overcorrected and overturned.

He also was not wearing a safety device.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 11 p.m. by Newton County Deputy Coroner Brian Artherton.
