A fatal crash just before 9:30 pm Saturday evening at 37th & O Street claimed the life of a 19-year-old Lincoln man.
Lincoln Police investigators determined a gray Ford was traveling westbound on O Street when it crossed the center median and struck a gray Subaru traveling eastbound in the inside traffic lane. The collision pushed the Subaru into a second eastbound vehicle, a white Chrysler.
According to an LPD news release, LPD and LFR personnel arrived at the scene and provided aid to the victims. The 19-year-old man was taken to a local hospital where he later died. The two occupants of the second eastbound car were treated at the scene and released.
The driver of the Ford left the scene on foot shortly after the crash occurred. Investigators located video of the suspect and are working to locate him as the investigation continues.
Lincoln Police Crash Reconstruction investigators have completed their work at the scene and all streets have been reopened for regular traffic.
