While the victim attempted to run away from the scene, one of the juvenile suspects removed one of two guns he had in his possession, aimed and fired at the victim.

"That firearm misfired, so the same juvenile pulled out the second handgun and pointed it in the victim's direction," according to Sandy police.

The juvenile suspect fired another shot at the victim, however it appeared the shot misfired and the victim was able to escape unharmed.

Police said the three suspects located the victims vehicle parked in the parking lot and began vandalizing the car, creating over $5000 worth of damage.

After investigation, police located the buried firearm in the backyard of one of the suspects and all three were taken into custody.

They were booked into the Salt Lake County Jail and face one count of aggravated robbery, use or threaten use of a weapon and one count of criminal mischief.
