UPDATE: Body found in Saint Jones River identified
7/7 UPDATE: Police have identified the victim in this incident as 27-year-old Jorge Valladares of Dover.
The investigation is continuing, but police say it does not appear that the death is the result of foul play.

DOVER, Del.- Dover Police are investigating the cause of the death of a body found in the Saint Jones River on June 22nd.
According to Dover Police, a group of kayakers located the body on the shoreline of the river and notified police.
The subject was a male, but additional details are unknown due to the advanced state of decomposition.
No obvious signs of trauma were noticed on the scene, but the cause of death and identification of the subject is pending further examination by the medical examiner’s office.
