Cool kids headed for the water during long weekend

With temperatures soaring into the 80s, the city's pools, spray parks and beaches opened at just the right time, Friday including the Crompton Park Pool where Baylee Quach, 5, revels in the fountain water.

WORCESTER — Most swimming spots in the city were open for the long — and hot — holiday weekend. 

Pools, beaches and a spray park — run by the city and state — provided good relief for the cool kids of Worcester. 

Indian Lake Beach (staffing) and Greenwood Spray Park (maintenance) did not open as planned.
