CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A man was found shot to death in a truck Saturday night on Ringgold Road, and a suspect is in custody.
At about 10:32 p.m., Clarksville Police responded to a shooting call in the 400 block of Ringgold Road, according to police spokesman Scott Beaubien.
They found a man inside a pickup truck with gunshot wounds. He was transported to Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police believed the suspect was still in the area and set up a perimeter around an apartment building. He eventually came out of the apartment, surrendered to police and was taken into custody. “This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public,” Beubien said.
Detectives are investigating, and no further information has been released.
