BARTON COUNTY —A Missouri man died in an accident just after 7:30p.m. Saturday in Barton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Harley Davidson driven by Wayne E. Sprenkle, 57, Jasper, was southbound on Interstate 49 two miles south of Sheldon.
The driver lost control of the motorcycle when he swerved to avoid something in the road. The motorcycle overturned and ejected the driver.
Sprenkle was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Daniels Funeral Home. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the MSHP.
