Clear night rolls into hot Independence Day

PITTSBURGH — It will be warm but comfortable this evening, and a nice summer night to be outside. Expect pleasant sleeping conditions overnight, with temperatures falling to the upper 50s under a clear sky.

It will be sunny and hot but not humid for the Fourth of July, with highs in the upper 80s near 90 degrees. The UV Index will be very high on Independence Day. Don’t forget to use sunscreen, stay cool in the shade and stay hydrated. The fireworks forecast looks dry and warm with temperatures in the upper 70s.

Rain and the chance for storms will return Tuesday with humid and unsettled weather for the week ahead.
