July 3, 2022

BrightView’s Georgetown addiction treatment center welcomed local officials, community members and chamber of commerce colleagues to a ribbon cutting and open house June 23 to honor service partners and celebrate providing effective addiction treatment in the Georgetown area.

Georgetown Mayor Bill West and Police Chief Ralph Holm were on hand to discuss the need for access to addiction treatment in the area. Angie Ficco, BrightView’s community outreach manager, offered information about a range of issues in addiction treatment, including recovery and addiction trends in Sussex County, how to reduce substance use disorder in Georgetown, and what patients think is crucial to successful recovery.

Since 2021, the Georgetown center has helped nearly 200 people fight addiction, offering 400 hours of medical treatment combined with counseling and therapy.

The BrightView Center is at 501 West Market St., Georgetown; for details, go to brightviewhealth.com.
