After a dozen years inside various mixed martial arts cages, veteran contender Jessica Eye is calling it a career.

Eye (15-11, 1 NC) competed against rising star Maycee Barber on the UFC 276 preliminary card Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, but came up short on the judges’ scorecards. “Evil” Eye fought well against the young Barber, but dozens of elbows to the face and knees to the body curtailed her hopes at stemming the losing streak.

Eye dropped a unanimous decision to Barber, her fourth consecutive loss and fifth in six fights overall. Though Eye never captured a world title, she did compete for the Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s flyweight crown, though she was knocked out by all-time great Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 238 three years ago.

Throughout her career, Eye has taken a who’s-who of women’s MMA including Shechenko, Miesha Tate, Julianna Pena, Sara McMann and Joanne Calderwood.

At the post-fight press conference on Saturday, Eye indicated that while she is done with fighting professionally, she has her eyes on trying professional wrestling for either the WWE or AEW.

“I want to be the female Undertaker,” she said in front of the press. “I want to ride a motorcycle to the ring and DDT people.”
