Beginning Monday, storm chances begin to increase slightly across the Borderland.
During the afternoon hours, we'll see around a 40-50% chance for showers and storms.
The biggest impacts with any storms that develop will be localized heavy rainfall, lightning and strong winds.
If you hear thunder, this means lightning is close enough to be dangerous. When thunder roars, go indoors! Here are some lightning safety tips.
A Weather Warn is in effect from 6:00 a.m. Monday to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday due to extreme moisture that could lead to possible flash flooding. Excessive runoff could lead to swollen creeks and streams and flooding to other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Remember, never drive through flooded streets! Turn around, don't drown.
