‘Cowboy’ has finally called it a career.
The End Of The Road
Donald Cerrone’s last dance would come at UFC 276, where he took on former foe Jim Miller. Unfortunately for Cowboy, Miller would exact his revenge eight years after their first fight. Miller would force Cerrone to tap with a guillotine choke in round 2.
Miller would surpass Cerrone as the all-time leader in UFC wins, while Cowboy took off the gloves post-fight.
Cerrone Speaks On The Decision
Cerrone left his gloves inside the Octagon but he wouldn’t leave the cage without first saying a word.
“I don’t love it anymore,” Cerrone said. “It’s hard for me to get up and this is the longest camp I’ve had in a long time. I just don’t love it anymore. I’m going to be a movie star. It’s time to bow out. One hell of a career. Thank you so much, UFC.”
‘Cowboy’ rode off into the sunset with the second-most all-time wins in the UFC at 23.

The UFC’s most popular fighter retires with a 36-17 record and two no contests.
In his last two fights, Miller had earned back-to-back knockouts and now he’s won three in a row.
