Springfield, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) - Three gymnasts from Springfield's Gymnastics Zone are All-Americans after winning the AAU National Championship, which was held in Springfield this weekend.
In the Platinum competition Saturday, Olive Hamann earned All-American status after placing first in the competition with a 37.750. Her teammate Cora Spann took seventh all-around, but had the highest competition score on the vault with a 9.575. Zoe Wall took eighth.
On Friday, Brooklyn Niemerg took first place all-around with a 36.975 to become an All-American. Molly Adams took third in the Level 8 competition as well. Pyper Miller took home gold in the Gold competition with a 38.300 for Gymnastics Zone head coach and owner Jennifer McClanahan's third All-American this year.
