The crash happened just before 2 pm Saturday. The sheriff's office, along with Linn County Rescue, Jones County Sheriff deputies, and first responders from Anamosa responded to the crash on Highway 151 near Taylor Road.
LCSO says Eric Sawvell, 37, of Dubuque, was eastbound on Highway 151 when he drove into the south ditch, vaulted over Taylor Road and rolled into a yard on Dubuque Road.
"Investigation revealed that it appeared Mr. Sawvell suffered a medical event which lead to the accident," the sheriff's office said in a release.
He was taken to the hospital with what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries.
