Allen will be one of 16 players on the roster with the hopes of earning a NBA contract before the season begins.

Allen averaged 19.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game in his lone season with the Aggies and led the team to its first official NCAA Tournament win since 1970 with his 37-point performance against UConn in the NCAA Tournament Round of 64. Allen was named WAC Tournament MVP for helping NMSU defeat Grand Canyon and Abilene Christian to punch its title to March Madness in his first NCAA Tournament game since 2017, when he played in the Sweet 16 while at West Virginia.
