Drew Lock has some rough luck. On a Saturday in July, the former Mizzou quarterback is catching Twitter strays from an official account in another sport.

The US Open did not appreciate a Seattle Seahawks fan dismissing tennis as “not a sport” in reply to a video highlight tweet from ESPN’s “SportsCenter” account. The US Open account mockingly reminded the Seahawks fan that Lock could be the starting quarterback in 2022.

When the Seahawks fan replied by calling the event “poverty,” the US Open was ready with another jab at Lock.

Lock is entering his fourth NFL season. In March, he was moved in the blockbuster trade that sent Russell Wilson to Denver. Lock is competing with Geno Smith for the Seahawks starting job.

Hopefully, Lock isn’t letting the US Open spoil his holiday weekend.
