The two stabbing incidents started as fights as the bars and nightclubs were closing in downtown between the hours of 1:40 a.m. and 2:10 a.m., the San Jose Police Department tweeted.

According to police, a man was stabbed by an unknown suspect at Santa Clara Street and 3rd Street. The suspect fled the scene after injuring the man but police were able to find the suspect and arrest him.

The suspect is currently booked in jail.

The second incident was near Santa Clara Street and Market Street, where two men were stabbed by two suspects, the department tweeted. Both suspects were able to get away and have not been found.

All three victims were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are continuing to investigate the two incidents but said these were separate isolated incidents and currently they are not believed to be related, police said.
