The late Don Dillehay dedicated his life to young people and influenced many in a very special way. He started his teaching and coaching career in 1968.

Dillehay was instrumental in implementing the HS baseball program at Brush High School and coached his way to a State title in 1991. He was voted Coach of the Year for the Patriot League for four years and was Colorado State Coach of the Year in 1991.

After retiring from teaching in 2005, Dillehay formed a nonprofit for youth, Blue Horizons. He coordinated various activities and coached Special Olympic athletes in several sports.
