BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — A man lost his hand in a fireworks incident in Broward County early Saturday.
Broward Sheriff's Office spokesman Carey Codd said the incident happened shortly after 1 a.m. in the 4400 block of North State Road 7 in Lauderdale Lakes.
Deputies and paramedics arrived, but the victim had already been taken to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle.
Broward Sheriff's Office Department of Fire Rescue took the man's hand to the hospital. The man and his hand were then taken to Broward Health Medical Center.
The man's condition wasn't immediately known.
