Death investigation underway in Colorado Springs neighborhood

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Detectives are investigating after a man was found dead inside an apartment just west of I-25 in Colorado Springs.
Officers say they were called to a complex near I-25 and North Chestnut around 7 a.m. Saturday after the deceased was discovered. The case was swiftly handed over to CSPD’s Major Crime detectives due to the nature of the person’s death.
While police have not confirmed how the individual died, 11 News responded to an investigation in that same area and around that same time Saturday and was told by officers on scene that they were investigating a shooting.
