Several local towns are holding Independence Day celebrations this weekend.
Jonesborough Days - Saturday at 10 a.m.
The celebration kicks off with a parade.
The two day festival includes vendors, music, food, a USO show and a kids area.
Jonesborough Days runs until 10 p.m. Saturday night, and festivities pick back up Sunday from noon until 10 p.m.
A fireworks display will close out the event on Sunday.
Kingsport Independence Day Parade - Saturday at 10 a.m.
A festival downtown will start at 5 p.m. It will include an expanded event area with food trucks, larger concerts and a bigger fireworks display.
38 Special is headlining the event with The Ultimate Garth Brooks Tribute as the opening act.
Kingsport's fireworks are scheduled to start at 9:45 p.m.
Erwin Veterans Parade - Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
Floats are provided for any veteran who wants to join.
The day starts with a free breakfast for veterans at 9 a.m. There will also be a splash dance and free snow cones provided by a local church.
The Grand Marshal for the Erwin Veterans Parade is a man who served in the army from 1975-2012.
