4th of July fireworks at Fort Walton Beach: Celebrate with live music, food vendors

FORT WALTON BEACH — Join the city for the annual Fourth of July Celebration.

The event is scheduled from 5-9 p.m. Monday, July 4, at Fort Walton Beach Landing Park at 139 Brooks St. S.E.

Happening in Destin:City plans firework show, provides safety tips

Live music by the Six Piece Suits will begin at 5 p.m., with the firework show following at 8:45 p.m. Various amenities will be available for purchase, such as food vendors and light-up novelty items. Children will have free access to the Kid Zone, which includes bounce houses and face painting until 8:30 p.m.

Individuals are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for the celebration. All public parking lots in downtown Fort Walton Beach will be open. The pier at the Landing will be closed during the event.
