HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutch High's Ben Patterson is a late addition to the Shrine Bowl's West squad. He found out June 30 that he would be strapping on the helmet July 23 at Pittsburg State for the 49th Kansas Shrine Bowl.
Along with Patterson and Buhler's Sam Elliott, McPherson's Braxton Bailey, Inman's Jace Doerksen, and Cheney's Harrison Voth will also be on the West team. Buhler head football coach Steve Warner will be an assistant on the West coaching staff, as will Inman's Lance Sawyer.
