Prairie Dunes Country Club golf course, which opened it's first 9 holes in 1937 and the other nine in 1957, &nbsp;was recently ranked the top private golf course in Kansas by USA Today's <a href="https://golfweek.usatoday.com/lists/golfweeks-best-private-courses-2022-state-by-state-rankings-of-private-courses/">Golfweek in an early June state-by-state golf rankings article</a>. &nbsp;

Prairie Dunes has played host to the U.S. Senior Open in 2006, the U.S. Women's Open in 2002, the U.S. Women's Amateur in 1991, and the NCAA Men's Championship in 2014 that was won by Alabama.

Prairie Dunes will be the 2023 site of the Big 12 Men's Golf Championships. The course is already a 13-time host of the conference event.&nbsp;&nbsp;
