First-round tee times for the 2022 Vermont Amateur at Brattleboro Country Club

The last two champions and a two-time winner headline the field for the 116th Vermont Amateur, which returns to Brattleboro Country Club for the first time in 15 years.

The three-day, 72-hole tournament begins Tuesday.

Country Club of Barre's Bryson Richards, who won last year's tournament in Williston, 2020 winner Garren Poirier of Rutland and Champlain's Evan Russell, back-to-back champion in 2013 and 2014, are part of a 103-golfer field set to take on Brattleboro's 6,533-yard track.

Burlington's Troy Goliber (runner-up), Logan Broyles (third), Ryan Porter (fourth), Tyler Bellemare (fifth), Max Major (sixth), Phil Fairbanks (seventh), Troy Evans (eighth) and Cory Jozefiak (ninth) all finished in the top 10 last year and are entered in this year's Am.

Russell, a former pro, qualified for the tournament by winning a qualifier at Williston last month, carding a 4-under 67.

After Wednesday's second round, the top 40 players, including ties, make the cut and will play in Thursday's 36-hole finale.
