Alongside other sponsors, the Weatherford Rotary Club will be hosting the annual Fourth of July celebration at Radar Park.

There will be free parking and free admission, as well as live music, inflatables, and food available for purchase.

The food available will be hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, Frito chili pies, walking tacos and bags of chips. There also will be water available. Everything for sale will range between $1 and $3.

Concessions will be open from 6-9:30 p.m. In addition, visitors can find snow cones and ice cream available for purchase.

At approximately 9 p.m., the community band will perform and the boy scouts will present colors.

The fireworks are set to begin around 10 p.m.

“We have a great event out here. We’ve had it for many years, and we look forward to this year,” Josh VanDeburgh, president of Rotary Club, said.

There will be several places for people to park. One large parking area will be at Eagle Field. There also will be parking by the softball fields and by the soccer fields. Rotary Club members also will be helping to direct traffic.

For those who are handicapped or disabled, there will be a designated parking area by the golf course which will be available. From that area will be limited shuttle service via golf carts to take guests to the entertainment area.

After the festivities have concluded, guests are asked to leave by taking the closest route out of the park. The south lot by Eagle Field will proceed south down Lyle Road and those parked in the north lot will proceed north. Volunteers will be available to help direct traffic at this time also.
