During a Weatherford City Commission meeting Thursday, the commission approved several items recommended by the Hotel/Motel Tax Advisory Committee.
The commission approved an $8,000 grant to the Heartland of America Museum for the All-American Salute to Veterans Weekend. The museum’s original request of $14,800 was modified by the Hotel/Motel Tax Advisory Committee during its June 21 meeting.
The commission also approved a $6,000 grant to the Weatherford First United Methodist Church for the Stir up the Fire conference.
The commission approved an $8,851.72 request to the Weatherford Area Chamber of Commerce for marketing and advertising.
