THEY ALSO WANT THE BITE ADMINISTRATION TO ISSUE EXECUTIVE ORDERS TO ENSURE ABORTION ACCESS IN ALL 50 STATES. I SHARE THE PUBLIC OUTRAGE TO THIS EXTREMIST COURT HAS COMMITTED TO MOVING AMERICA BACKWARDS. WITH FEWER RIGHTS PRESIDENT BIDEN MET WITH DEMOCRATIC GOVERNORS INCLUDING GOVERNOR LUJAN GRISHAM FRIDAY ABOUT PROTECTING ABORTION RIGHTS. THE GOVERNOR TALKED ABOUT THE EXECUTIVE ORDER JUST SIGNED A NEW MEXICO TO PROTECT PROVIDERS AND ANYONE FROM ANY STATE IF THEY CHOOSE TO COME HERE FOR PROCEDURE. SHE ALSO BELIEVES THERE ARE MORE FEDERAL OPPORTUNITIES OUR INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE CLINICS COULD BE ANOTHER EFFECTIVE VEHICLE. The battle over abortion rights continues, and Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham spoke with President Joe Biden about protecting access in New Mexico. Then, hours later, hundreds rallied at Robinson Park in downtown Albuquerque for abortion rights.A sizable crowd rallied and marched down Central, pushing for the state and the Biden administration to do more to ensure access to abortions. Those fighting for abortion rights made their voices heard.“I think it's important for people all across the country to get into the streets, show our voice,” said Celeste Romero, rally organizer with Party for Socialism and Liberation.They're doing just that one week after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Even though abortions aren't illegal in New Mexico, these activists believe more can be done.“We want to expand abortion access across the state so it's open and accessible to everybody, and we want to enshrine abortion access as a constitutional right in New Mexico state constitution,” Romero said.They also want the Biden administration to issue executive orders to ensure abortion access in all 50 states. “I share the public outrage of this extremist court has committed to moving America backwards with fewer rights,” Biden said.The president met with Democratic governors, including Lujan Grisham on Friday about protecting abortion rights. The governor talked about the executive order just signed in New Mexico to protect providers and anyone from any state if they choose to come here for a procedure. She also believes there are more federal opportunities.“Our Indian Health Service clinics could be another effective vehicle,” Lujan Grisham said. “I've been reached out by a number of sovereign nations who I think would be very supportive and interested.”But, not everyone is looking for the government to step in.“The Democrat party is pro-abortion,” said Maura Jans. “They're not pro-choice. We're all pro-choice. We want women to have the choice. My side is pro-life. We want women — we want to give them the information to make that choice for life.”As for the rally, the group said they're going to keep demanding action from Democrats.
