West Mifflin police: 1 person in custody for gas station robbery

West Mifflin police confirmed that one person is in custody for the armed robbery of a BP station Friday night.

An investigation is continuing into whether the same person may have been involved in the robbery of a Pleasant Hills gas station earlier in the evening, according to police.

The robbery at the BP station at 4731 Buttermilk Hollow Road was reported at 8:20 p.m., police said.

The same person may have been involved in the robbery of a BP station in Pleasant Hills shortly before 8 p.m., police said.

No further information including the identity of the suspect was available from police.
