ELNORA, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – North Daviess senior Jaylen Mullen has committed to Oakland City for basketball once he graduates next spring. Mullen was a key player in leading the Cougars to their first ever state championship in the spring.
Mullen and the Cougars were an entertaining team to watch this past season, they defeated Lafayette Central Catholic in the state title game. During his junior season Jaylen finished with 489 points which is a school record. He needs just three points to reach 1,000 for his career.
Mullen returns for his senior season along with the dynamic twin duo of Lance and Logan Wilson to try and defend the state title. But it will be at the class 3 A level for next season. A change granted by the IHSAA after head coach Brent Dalrymple asked for following their victory.
