Syracuse, N.Y. — A 45-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach Friday night on the city’s North Side.
The stabbing was reported at about 7:40 p.m. in the 1200 block of Park Street, Syracuse police spokesman Lt. Matthew Malinowski said in a news release Friday night.
The man was reported to be conscious and breathing as emergency crews arrived, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches.
The man was taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, and is expected to survive, Malinowski said.
Syracuse police and fire, as well as an American Medical Response (AMR) ambulance, were parked on Pond street between Park and Steuben streets.
Police were seen talking to multiple people outside of a convenience store in the 400 block of Pond Street. Yellow police tape was stretched across the sidewalk in front of the store.
