SPOKANE, Wash. — A 31-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a homicide investigation after a man's body was found in a park in Northeast Spokane.
On Friday just after 11 a.m., police say a citizen spotted a body in Rochester Heights Park.
After officers and a forensic unit arrived on the scene, a homicide investigation was launched.
After examining the body, it was determined that the victim died from a "cutting instrument."
The Major Crimes Unit with the Spokane Police Department followed several investigation leads, including using information and security camera footage provided by community members.
On Sunday, police arrested Rose Sedin (31) in connection with the man's death. The relationship between Sedin and the victim, along with the surrounding circumstances of the murder, remains under investigation.
Sedin is being held on a $500,000 bond. Her arraignment will be held at a later date.
The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.
