The Old Gray Event Center and Amphitheater prepares for inaugural festival

COOKEVILLE – The Old Gray Event Center and Amphitheater held a ribbon cutting with the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce to celebrate its inaugural music festival, Freedom Fest, that is being held July 1-2. 

The Old Gray is the Upper Cumberland’s newest open-air amphitheater located on over 75 acres at 3781 Monterey Highway, Monterey.

The Freedom Festival is a two-day event. Friday’s artist are Shane Profitt, The Davisson Brothers and Chis Janson. Gates open at 4 p.m. and music starts at 5 p.m. Fireworks will be held after the final song.

On Saturday, the gates open at 11 a.m. with music starting at 12 p.m.  Saturday’s artists are Nick Davisson, Bryce Mauldin, Lily Grace Live, Tyra Madison, Caleb & Leann, Davisson Brothers Band, Darryl Worley, Ty Herndon and Andy Griggs.

A fun fact about Old Gray is the stage for Freedom Fest was last used in Times Square, New York City.
