Prior to Friday’s game against the Cardinals, the Phillies paid tribute to future Hall of Famer and Cardinals legend Albert Pujols, who is playing in Philadelphia for the final time in his career.

Ryan Howard and Rhys Hoskins presented Pujols with a St. Louis out-of-town scoreboard sign from Citizens Bank Park. Howard and Pujols finished 1-2 in National League MVP voting in 2006.

Pujols announced he will retire from playing at the end of the 2022 season. He signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract to return to the Cardinals in March.

Albert Pujols, who has 14 homers against Philadelphia in his career, is starting as St. Louis’ DH and hitting sixth.
