Centralia City Manager Kory Smith says the Public Works Department continues to clean up limbs and tree branches throughout the city following the severe storm that hit the city last month.

The city is asking residents to please ensure that all large accumulations of limbs are placed at the front curb of their homes by July 5th to ensure that they will be collected on the routes.

Smith is also asking for patience as the number of trees and limbs is much larger than initially anticipated and the crews are working diligently to get them collected from the neighborhoods.

The temporary service is being provided to help residents clean up following the storms.   Republic Services will continue to collect the small bundled limbs as they do throughout the year on their weekly route.

Smith is also reminding everyone this weekend, July 2nd and 3rd is an authorized burn weekend and residents are allowed to burn landscape waste only in the city limits between the hours of six am and six pm.
