FATAL ACCIDENT NEAR JAMESTOWN

An accident Thursday afternoon on Kansas highway K-28 west of Jamestown claimed the life of an Arkansas woman.
Vickie Fenner, 66, of Conway, Arkansas, was driving a Volvo semi truck and towing a full grain trailer. Fenner was traveling east on K-28, about five miles west of Jamestown, when her vehicle overturned and came to rest in a ditch.
“It was a full grain truck,” said Concordia Fire Chief Eric Voss. “We had to use the Jaws of Life, and this was a prolonged extrication because of the condition of the vehicle.”
Fenner, who was wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident, was taken to the Cloud County Community Health Center in Concordia, where she was later pronounced dead.
