AUBURN (WGME) -- An arrest has been made in connection to a double homicide in Auburn back on June 6.
Police say 34-year-old David Barnett of Bristol, Connecticut was arrested in Rockville, Maryland Friday afternoon on a warrant for the murder of Kelzie Caron and Pierre Langlois at a residence on Fourth Street in Auburn.
Barnett was taken into custody without incident near an apartment complex in Rockland and additionally holds a nationwide warrant out of New York for probation revocation on a prior charge.
Police say Barnett will be held at the Montgomery County Jail pending extradition proceedings.
The Maine State Police and Auburn Police Detectives have been building this case with their interstate partners at the local, state, and federal levels in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and Maryland.
