After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Montreal International Jazz Fest is back in full force.

Last night’s opening festivities included a free outdoor headlining set from Tash Sultana that absolutely packed the streets, a thrilling and swinging lesson in jazz history from Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, outdoor sets from Jesse Mac Cormack, Angelique Francais, AHI, and more.

Check out photos from yesterday’s shows below via Eva Blue.

The Montreal International Jazz Fest runs through July 9. Check out the complete program here.
