Update 8:02 a.m.
The Georgia State Patrol says that four people have died following a six-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 Friday in Camden County.
At approximately 2:30 p.m. the Camden County Sheriff's Office requested help from GSP handling a multi-vehicle accident.
According to GSP, a white, International tractor trailer was traveling southbound near mile marker one when it struck a Nissan Armada.
The driver of the tractor trailer lost control of the vehicle, which began to overturn, and struck a Chevrolet Silverado.
The tractor trailer then traveled through the center median and into the northbound lanes of I-95.
The semi was then struck by a Nissan Xterra, a Honda Pilot, and a black Peterbilt tractor trailer before coming to a final rest on I-95 North.
Two passengers in the International tractor trailer died at the scene and two passengers in the Honda Pilot died after being taken to a hospital in Jacksonville.
The driver of the International tractor trailer was also taken to the hospital and was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.
The driver's name and those of the victims have not yet been released.
The interstate was not fully reopened until approximately 9 p.m.
All charges will be handled by Georgia State Patrol at the conclusion of their investigation, officials said.
