AMHERST COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Amherst County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man in connection with grand larceny in Lynchburg with help from other law enforcement on Thursday.
Deputies say 34-year-old Jonathan Edward Tyree of Amherst was found at a home on Walnut Street in Lynchburg on Thursday, June 30.
According to the sheriff’s office, Tyree is facing the following charges:
- Two charges of obstruction of justice
- Five charges of grand larceny for $200 or more not from a person
- Two charges of petit larceny for less than $200 not from a person
Tyree is currently being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail, Lynchburg Adult Detention Center without bond.
Virginia State Police, a Lynchburg K-9 unit, Amherst County Sheriff’s Office investigators, and Amherst County K-9 helped with this investigation.
