Palm Beach County man's scratch (and lucky ticket) make him a Florida Lottery millionaire

A man from Palm Beach County is a millionaire twice over after buying a winning ticket from the Florida Lottery.

The lottery announced Richard Awe, of Boca Raton, claimed a$2million top prize from the $2,000,000 BONUS CASHWORD scratch-off game.

Awe, 34, showed up at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee with the winning ticket and chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,645,000.

He bought the ticket at a store in Miami, so Discount Food Stop — off Biscayne Boulevard near 108th Street — will get a $4,000 bonus commission for the sale.

The ticket cost $10 and the odds of winning something from $2,000,000 BONUS CASHWORD are one in 3.12.
